The Sabbath is an Old Testament shadow or anti-type of heaven and was never intended endure past the cross.

God gave the Jews many physical anti-types that were replaced with new meaning in the New Testament. Incense, priestly garments and the Sabbath, for example were abolished and replaced with prayer, (Rev 5:8) good deeds (Rev 19:8) and heaven (Hebrews 4:4-11).

Actual Sabbatarian argument: "The Sabbath was given before the fall of Adam and cannot be a shadow because all anti-types and shadows were given after the fall."

1. Adam was a type of Christ in the garden: 1 Cor 15:21-22; Rom 5:14
2. Tree of live was a type in the garden: Rev 2:17

1. Man sinned on the 6th day before God rested.
2. The Sabbath was sanctified after the seventh day (specifically in Ex 16).
3. Therefore if we apply the Sabbatarian argument to this, the Sabbath could be an anti-type!

1. Colossians 2:16-17 "Therefore let no one act as your judge in regard to food or drink or in respect to a festival or a new moon or a SABBATH DAY-THINGS WHICH ARE A MERE SHADOW OF WHAT IS TO COME; but the substance belongs to Christ."
2. The Sabbath was ceremonial because it, like most of the ceremonial laws of Moses, had New Testament anti-types.
