Does Revelation foretell today's current events? All churches teach one of two positions Identify which position you believe then click your choice. Position #1 Revelation mostly predicts events that will occur in the 20th century. The message of the book is mostly for us living today in the end times and not for 1st century Christians. Rev 22:6 "Do not seal up the words of the prophecy of this book, for the time is near." Rev 22:10 On what basis do people teach Revelation is only for the 20th century??? Important thought: If God wanted to tell us that the prophecies within Revelation were for first & second century Christians, can you think of a clearer more concise way that he could describe it than these four verses? Does Revelation only prophecy future events? . . The Bible says: "Write therefore the things which you have seen, and the things which are, and the things which shall take place after these things." Rev 1:19 Question: How many time periods does Revelation's message discuss? One time ... ...
