When did the last times begin? The Bible says: Acts 2:1-4 And when the day of Pentecost had come, they were all together in one place. And suddenly there came from heaven a noise like a violent, rushing wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. And there appeared to them tongues as of fire distributing themselves, and they rested on each one of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit was giving them utterances. Please explain to me what the day of Pentecost is and the speaking of tongues! . . Facts about the day of Pentecost and tongues: The day of Pentecost here in Acts 2, happened in about 33AD. This was the day the Holy Spirit fell upon the twelve apostles. Thousands gathered to hear the first gospel sermon preached by Peter. The masses were amazed that the apostles were speaking in tongues (human languages that they had not learned) The masses were divided as to why the men were speaking in tongues. ... ...

Your riches have rotted and your garments have become moth-eaten. Your gold and your silver have rusted; and their rust will be a witness against you and will consume your flesh like fire. It is in the last days that you have stored up your treasure! The last days applied to the rich of the first century The last days do not apply to the rich of the first century . . Hint: Keep in mind the context of the verse. The book of James was written in about 62 AD and addressed universally to all Christians. The verse is written in past tense, not the future tense. Is it reasonable to exclude all the Christians of the first century from the context of the verse? Doesn't this indicate that THEY lived in the last days 2000 years ago? click here to continue . .
