Question 1: Why did Jesus say some would fall away? affliction and persecution causes them to fall away These people were never true believers . . Jesus said these people had believed! Mark 4:16 & Luke 8:13 they hear the word receive it with joy believe for a while These people did believe for a while I don't believe that they completely fell away . . Had they completely fallen away?
