301: Ellen G. White found guilty of plagiarism (copying)
Click to View Order Walter Rea's book: "The White Lie" The development of the Adventist ghetto began almost at once after the Millerite movement reached its peak in 1844 and started its descent. With the help of Ellen White and her "visions," God was allowed to do some of the carpenter work on the walls. Ellen was "shown" that the door of mercy was shut for all those who had not accepted the 1844 message; so the world and most of those in it were left outside the door. 302: Theoretical Overview of correspondence course work
... Because of my objective, I have written a four-lesson series called BIBLE COURSE . I believe a correspondence course should create a desire in the student to study one-on-one, which otherwise would not have developed if they had never taken the course. Every aspect in the design of BIBLE COURSE is focused on stimulating the student's desire to study one-on-one. In designing my course, I took the best conceptual ideas contained in the other 35 courses and added a few ideas of my own. It took one year to write and two more years to work out the bugs that became evident with use. 303: Move-in's, Drop-in's, Born-in's & Drag-in's
the last year or two. Now, subtract the "move-ins", the "drop-ins", and the "born-ins". What you have left is the number of people that have become Christians as a result of evangelistic work. In 1990, Geoffery Ellis conducted an important study regarding church growth in Ontario. His conclusions were that a congregation averaging 94 members will experience an overall net growth increase of 1.5 members per year, when baptisms, fall-aways and deaths are balanced. He noted that such a congregation would have 3.8 baptisms per year, of which 2.4 were directly attributed to genuine outreach. He observed that in 1990, it took 63 Christians to reproduce one new Christian every year. The problem is that most churches are not even growing from these three factors. "Move-ins" ("shifting of the sheep") and "drop-ins" ("easy come-easy go") are rare. The apathy that prevents us from being evangelistic also causes us to lose our children, making "born-ins" rarer. 307: How to be attain Sanctification!
How to be attain Sanctification! In the Old Testament "holiness", holy people, places and things, is the major emphasis of sanctification. 308: Moral failures of Modern Pentecostal preachers
We recognize that all men are sinners, however, there is a disproportionately high rate of moral failure among the highest profile Pentecostal preachers. We recognize that there are a few of these kinds of preachers in every church, our concern is that almost ALL the most famous Pentecostal preachers have disgraced God in their moral lives. These LEADERS claim a high degree of sanctification. Each claims to either have met with Jesus personally, seen Him in an open vision, been visited by angels, etc. . .Yet with only a cursory look into their personally lives and lifestyles one quickly sees how fraudulent their claims are. Some might want to say "these people do not represent the movement" or that I have "stacked the deck." The sad TRUTH of the matter is that these people are KEY PEOPLE in the movement. These are the acknowledged LEADERS. If what they promote does not work in their own lives why should anyone else believe them? Moral failures of Pentecostal preachers Individual ... ...

315: What Early Christians believed about SALVATION BY WORKS
... So then neither is he who plants anything, nor he that waters, but God, who made it grow' [1 Cor. 3:6,7]. Now we could not correctly say that the growing of crops is the work of the farmer alone. Nor of the one who irrigates. It is ultimately the work of God. Likewise, it is not as though we ourselves play no role in our spiritual growth to perfection. 317: A Christian's Survival guide on any College Campus
... You have access to the same endurance through Christ. The following are four suggestions that will help prevent college imposed anxieties: Prioritize your life. Get your priorities in line. We never get done all that we would like. Decide on the most important thing. People who fail in college, or in life, are usually busy people, but busy doing the less important things. Decide what you must get done today, write it down if it helps, then your priorities and work from the top of that list. Never include on a day's list anything that is not reasonable and attainable in one day. Keep a daily quiet time with God. This is the only way to keep your life prioritized and your Christian identity integrated. Daily refresh your soul with God's words. Communicate with him daily in prayer. Turn your life over to him completely. Resolve to discipline yourself. If you cannot discipline yourself, you are a poor risk for a college degree. The whole book of Hosea is a grand parable on the heart of God and Israel whom he loves. Discussion: 1. In spite of the fact that the Hebrew text of the book of Hosea has been corrupted from ancient times (before 282 BC), we can be certain that we have the complete and clear message Hosea intended to convey. This example tugs at the heart of every father who has repeatedly called home explaining that he must work late, or whose nerves will not tolerate children's play at the end of a working day. 335: Is the Catholic church an infallible interpreter of scripture ...
... Catholics raise tremendous opposition to private interpretation of the Bible; however, a study of the holy Scriptures plainly reveals that God requires and expects man to make private interpretations of His Word. The powers and blessings of the Word of God comes only to those who privately interpret the Word. For example: "refreshing the soul" (Psalm 19:8), "giving understanding to the simple" (Psalm 119:130), "which is able to build you up" (Acts 20:32 Catholic Edition RSV), "a discerner of the thoughts and intentions of the heart" (Heb. 4:12), "I write to you in order that you may not sin" (1 John 2:1), "that the man of God may be perfect, equipped for every good work" (2 Tim. 3:16-17). These things are not received and are not accomplished unless one makes a private interpretation of the Word, thus, showing that a private interpretation is required.
