201: The Garden of Eden
The Garden of Eden Two separate words for garden in the Chinese language represent different aspects of the GARDEN of Eden. The first is tián. In this simple image, we see the river which separated into four river heads (see the yellow arrows) spoken of by Moses (Genesis 2:10-14). A second image for GARDEN in the Chinese is yuán. This image has amazing detail in it. Recall, Genesis 2:7 revealed that God made man of the DUST of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the BREATH of life. Genesis 2:8 tells us that God put the man whom He created into the garden ENCLOSURE. We then find that He took a rib from the man's side, and with it, He made woman (Genesis 2:21-22). All of these are found in yuán! In the lower portion, notice that the second person comes from the side of the first! , we see two people, one coming out of the side of the other! Thus, all the details about where Adam and Eve lived and how each was created is recorded in this single image for GARDEN. Happiness In ... ...

In preparation for the Greek New Testament, Alexander the Great makes Greek the universal language of the world in 333 BC because Hebrew would be extinct at the time of Christ. a. God knew Hebrew would be extinct as a language in the first century AD. b. The Diaspora Jews outside Judea spoke Greek while the Judean Jews spoke Aramaic as their default language and Greek as their working language. c. The only Jews who spoke Hebrew at the time of Christ were the Temple elites (Sadducees, High priest). d. At the time of Christ, the High priest would conduct Temple worship services in Hebrew to a Greek speaking audience who didn't understand a word he was saying. 207: Textual Variants Daniel's 70 weeks, Susanna, Prayer of Hananiah ...
As noted earlier (see "Genre"), the natural division is between chapters 6 and 7, because chapters 1-6 are stories about Daniel and his friends told in the third person; chapters 7-12 are Daniel's visions, mostly in the first person. Based on literary analysis, then, one would anticipate that if two languages were to be used, the first six chapters would be in one language and the last six chapters in another. However, it is not that way. Surprisingly, the first story is in Hebrew but the rest are in Aramaic. Likewise, the first of Daniel's visions is in Aramaic but the ... 211: Have you been Baptized with The Wrong Baptism?
You are to be commended for your interest in doing the will of God. Probably your study of the Bible has led you to realize that one of God's requirements is that you be baptized. As a God-fearing person you want, I know, to be certain that your baptism is pleasing to God. Likely you have already noted the divergent views people hold regarding baptism. How are you to know what is right? Since the Bible is the means by which God and His Son, Jesus, have spoken to us, we must find clear directives in the Bible itself. If you are to know whether your baptism is Christ-approved, you must measure it by what the Bible says about three questions: First - What is baptism? Second - Who should be baptized? Third-Why should one be baptized? Fortunately, the Bible speaks to each of these questions in simple and uncomplicated language which we can understand without difficulty. For example, who should be baptized? Well, Jesus answered that question when He said to His disciples, "Go you into all ... ...

He rejected all other books of the Bible except Luke + Paul's writings. Paul "spoiled" the novelty of this theme by continuing to quote the Old Testament as though it were authoritative for Christians, and Marcion accordingly had to expurgate even the Pauline letters that he retained.
