Questions about doctrine and belief will be addressed by a process adopted by the Council of Elders (Council) and approved by the General Conference of Elders (General Conference). FUNDAMENTAL BELIEFS We believe in one God, the Father, eternally existing, who is a Spirit, a personal Being of supreme intelligence, knowledge, love, justice, power and authority. 308: Lesson 13: Must We Be Baptized To Be Saved?
The following is what Jesus says and also ways in which man has tried to change what the Lord has said. 1) As we have just seen Jesus says in Mark 16:16, "He who believes and is baptized will be saved." 2) There are those who in reality say that, "He that does not believe and is not baptized will be saved," because they say God is going to save everyone. This is the Universalist who says that everyone is going to be saved and no one is going to be lost. We know this is not true because of what our Lord said in Matthew 7:13-14, that many are going to be lost and only few are going to be saved. 3) Then there are others who essentially say that, "He who ... The choice is ours. Either we have tried to establish our own righteousness or we have submitted to the righteousness of God. 309: Lesson 21: We Must Worship The Lord In His Church
We Must Worship The Lord In His Church The Lord is to be glorified by the worship He receives in His church. In Ephesians 3:21 we read, "To Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus." But how many churches does the Lord have? Jesus says in Matthew 16:18, "Upon this rock I will build My church." The word "My" shows possession and that the church belongs to Jesus. How many churches did He say He was going to build? He said, "I will build My church". The word church is singular not plural. The Lord only promised to build His one church. In Ephesians 4:4-6 there are seven ones listed: "There is one body, and one Spirit, even as you were called in one hope of your calling; one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all who is above all, and through all, and in you all." Just as there is only one God and only one Lord we also see there is only one body. The Bible says there is only one body; so what is this one body? How then do we make sure that we are among the few who are saved and not among the many who are lost? Jesus says in Matthew 7:21-23, "Not everyone who says to Me, Lord, Lord, shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of my Father in heaven. Many will say to Me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, and cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name? Do we really know what the Bible says that God wants us to do to be saved? What must I do to be saved? This is a very important question. Many people would answer this question in many different ways. The Bible is the only reliable place we can go for our answer, since it is our soul that will be lost if we follow man's advise. 313: Lesson 18: Obedience To The Gospel
After Jesus had died for our sins, was resurrected and just before he ascended into heaven, he commanded his apostles in Mark 16:15-16, "And he said to them, Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned." Our Lord wanted the gospel preached to everyone. The word "gospel" literally means good news or good tidings. In Romans 1:16 the apostle Paul says, "For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation for everyone who believes; for the Jew first, and also for the Greek." So we see that the gospel of Christ is God's only power unto salvation. It is by the gospel or good news that God saves us. What does the Bible say that the gospel is that saves ... 315: Lesson 2: God's Warning
God's Warning Christ, who is all knowing, tells us that many people are going to be lost, but only few are going to be saved. In Matthew 7:13-14 He says, "Enter by the narrow gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it". Now this gets my attention. According to the Bible the majority of people will be lost. McKenzie, 1965, p. 317, as quoted in, Should you believe the Trinity?, Watchtower publication) What they left out to deceive you: In the words of Jesus and in much of the rest of the NT the God of Israel (Gk. ho theos) is the Father* of Jesus Christ. It is for this reason that the title ho theos, which now designates the Father as a personal reality, is not applied in the NT to Jesus Himself; Jesus is the Son of God (of ho theos). 326: What International churches of Christ believe/Kip McKean
Excerpted from the Official, World Headquarters, Creed of: International churches of Christ ICOC (Crossroads, Boston, Kip McKean, Discipling Movement) NOTE: This website is not affiliated with the ICOC and is presenting their beliefs for reference only. "We Believe That: Jesus, the Son of God, is our one and only Lord and Savior, crucified for our sins and physically resurrected from the dead on the third day. The Bible is the only inspired and inerrant message of God. One is saved by the grace of God and the blood of Jesus Christ; and a person must, through faith and obedience, reach out to receive this free gift of salvation. Only baptized disciples are members of Christ's church. After baptism every new Christian needs to be taught or "discipled" by older, more experienced Christians to obey all of Jesus' teachings (Matthew 28:20). Every disciple must be committed to the vision of building churches of disciples -- true churches of Christ -- in every nation on earth." Click Your ... ...

327: Mormonism: God had sex with Mary to conceive Jesus
God came down to earth in the flesh and was the physical father of Jesus You should not trust the Bible in this matter. It is wrong. Trust their prophets. 343: Can A Christian Sin And Be Lost?
At its other extreme, this doctrine is expressed as, "No matter how grievous, the sins of Christians will not be held against them in the final judgement". Those who hold this last view believe that Christians can do wrong, but they also believe that Christ will forgive them of any, and every, sin so that they will be blameless on the day of judgement.
