147: Biblical Trinity is not borrowed from the pagans!
a whole, including both Trinitarians and Anti-Trinitarians! 9. Pagan, Platonic & Greek influence on JW's and Christadelphians Theology. Click to View Reputable scholars, secular encyclopedias and Trinitarians never say trinity is of pagan origin and openly deny such. First, it is important to note that the doctrine of the Trinity does not go back to non-Christian sources [pagan], as has sometimes been supposed in the past. [ie. by Jehovah's Witnesses etc.] There has been no lack of attempts to find the initial form of the doctrine of the Trinity in Plato, or in Hinduism, or in Parsiism. ... In the first two centuries a series of different answers to this question stood in juxtaposition; at first none of them was thought through speculatively. The diversity in interpretation of the Trinity was conditioned especially through the understanding of the figure of Jesus Christ. According to the theology of the Gospel According to John, the divinity of Jesus Christ constituted the departure point ... ...

Around 300 BC, all diaspora Jews were mass converted from Aramaic to speak Greek. This gave birth to the Septuagint which translated the Hebrew Torah into Greek. (first five books of Moses). By 200 BC Hebrew as a working language was dead among all Jews living in Judea. Only the high priests in Jerusalem continued to use Hebrew until they were all killed in 70 AD. 150: Why Are There Different Versions Of The Bible???
There is one Bible. First we need to understand what we mean by a "version". A better word than "version" is "translation". The Old Testament was originally written in Hebrew and the New Testament in Greek. If every man could read Hebrew and Greek, then we would have no need for an "English version". Most people can't read Greek, "It's all Greek to me"! We must rely, therefore, upon men who are fully fluent in English and Greek. These "scholars" read the original Greek Bible and come up with an English equivalent. This process is called translation. We have all seen a foreign diplomat give a news conference through the help of a translator. One translator may choose different words or sentences, but the message is identical. Translation is a reliable science of communicating between different languages. Remember, it was God Himself who created all the language barriers in Genesis 11 at the Tower of Babel. God is satisfied that His inspired word can be maintained although translated ... ...
