Welcome to the 40th Issue!
Welcome to the 40th (!) issue of Expository Files! Warren and I hope you find
the contents of this issue helpful. Our purpose in publishing Expository Files
is to make use of this medium to proclaim the gospel of Christ. Our loyalty is
to Him, and our creed is His word. We seek to keep our teaching Biblically
centered and sound. We have no axe to grind, no hidden agenda and no ulterior
motive. We are not in the business of defending or protecting religious creeds
and/or opinions of human origin. Any human creed books we own are for reference
only, we like to keep up on what others accept as their doctrines, but we do not
refer to them for our own beliefs and practices, be it a denominational manual,
catechism or discipline. For our authority we go to the Bible. Is so much easier
that way. Human creeds change every year. The New Covenant of Jesus Christ is
the same as it was when first delivered back in the first century.
We hope you see the wisdom in this course we have chosen. We believe it to be
Christ-honoring. It is He who has all authority in His church (Matthew 28:18-20;
Ephesians 1:22,23). His doctrine is true, and to go beyond it is to deny Him (2
John 9). We also believe that the Scriptures are adequate for our spiritual
needs (2 Timothy 3:16,17). We believe that His gospel is powerful to save souls
and that we have absolutely no business altering it in any way (Romans 1:16;
Galatians 1:6-9).
