The Koran is a book of myths, fables and fairy tales.
Pre-Islamic Sources for material in the Quran

Muhammad Wrote:

"This is nothing but a lie which he has forged, and other have helped him do it...fairy tales of the ancients, which he has caused to be written; and they are dictated before him morning and evening." (Qur'an 25:4-5, Arberry translation)

The Qur'an is not an inspired new revelation from a God who seeks pure worship, but is a revised counterfeit of 5th century polytheism, composed of previously existing pagan beliefs and practices. Or as Muhammad defended himself in the Koran against the same accusation 1400 years ago:

"This is nothing but a lie which he has forged, and other have helped him do it...Tales of the ancients (fairy tales), which he has caused to be written; and they are dictated before him morning and evening." (Surah 25:4-5)"
