The Invisible Things

"Because you have seen Me, have you believed? Blessed are they who did not see, and yet believed." John 20:29

God is Invisible

  1. Jn 4:24 God is a Spirit
  2. Ro 1:20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen
  3. Col 1:15 Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature
  4. 1 Ti 1:17 Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God
  5. 1 Jn 4:20 love not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?
  6. 1 Ti 6:16 God dwells in the unapproachable light whom no man hath seen, nor can see
  7. 1 Pe 1:8 Whom having not seen, you love
  8. Joh 1:18; 1 Jn 4:12 No man hath seen God at any time.
  9. Heb 11:27 By faith he forsook Egypt,...for he endured, as seeing him who is invisible.

Heaven is Invisible

  1. Heb 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
  2. 2 Co 4:18 for the things which are seen [are] temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.
  3. Col 1:16 For by him were all things created, in heaven, and in earth, visible and invisible.
  4. Heb 9:11,24 Jesus entered into heaven itself
  5. Rev 20:11 heaven and earth fled from his presence
  6. Rev 21:4 the first things have passed away
  7. Rev 21:1,23; 22:5 No longer any sea, night, sun or moon
  8. Jn 13:36-14:6 Heaven is in the very presence of the Father
  9. Heb 6:19-20; 10:19-20 We hope to "enter within the veil"

Soul/Spirit is Invisible

  1. Gen 1:26 Let us make man in our own image
  2. Lk 24:36-39 Spirit has not flesh and bones
  3. 2 Cor 5:1-8 absent from body...home with the Lord
  4. 2 Cor 12:3 Caught up to 3rd heaven, either in body or out of body
  5. Phil 1:22-24 depart (Die) and be with Christ
  6. Eccl 12:7 body to ground, spirit returns to God
  7. Mt 10:28 man can kill the body but not the spirit
  8. Lk 16:19-31 Lazarus and rich man died and were in Hades

Christ's Resurrected Body is Invisible

  1. 2 Cor 5:16 We no longer know him by the flesh
  2. Rev 1:12-18 Symbolic word picture of Christ
  3. Heb 1:13 Christ is now in the spiritual presence of God at right hand

Our Resurrected Body is Invisible

  1. 1 Cor 15:50-51 flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God
  2. 1 Cor 15:35-54 dead raised imperishable, living changed to imperishable
  3. 1 Jn 3:2 we don't know what we will be like except look like Jesus
  4. Phil 3:20-21 we will be transformed with great power to be like Jesus
  5. Mt 13:44 hidden treasure + Col 3:1-4 your life is hidden in Christ
  6. 1 Cor 6:13 Stomach and food done away with
