"you've got PhD 'Permanent Head Damage' Listening to too many sermons. For 20 years I've preached 3 point sermons; nobody set free. Now I get drunk and ramble and God offends people to reveal their hearts." John Scotland

The speaker for the evening (8-1-97) was John Scotland at the Toronto Airport Christian Fellowship TACF, who claims to have experienced spiritual drunkenness of the Holy Spirit for the last 3 years non-stop. Now remember, Pentecostals believe that the Holy Spirit causes these chicken sounds, they call it a "manifestation". He got up to minister (3,000 people were in attendance) and staggered around the stage, told jokes, mumbled, slurred his words and then worked his way up to reading the Bible ("for those of you who are into those kind of things"). When he tried to read the Scripture he would stop and make cackling chicken sounds. In fact, each time he tried to read the Bible strange sounds proceeded from his mouth, which the audience loved. Scotland calls this manifestation from the Holy Spirit "a wake-up call". We agree!!! It is a wake-up call for these Pentecostals to come to their senses and start attending a true Bible believing church! Scotland was scheduled to conduct another seminar for the TACF in the summer of 98. They are convinced he is a prophet. Contempt for the Bible

[1:24 minutes]

John Scotland shows his contempt for the Bible. Here are his introductory comments about the reading! Scotland was at Toronto Airport Christian Fellowship in August 1997 when he did this.

"I want to read from from Luke chapter 1. some of you don't think I give readings. Well I was brought up in the Baptist church. Isn't this pulpit good? Shupdaduoo. We will get to the reading for those that like the reading. I've just got to go with the flow. notice this ladies and gentlemen. If your taking notes. heeheheh. [obviously no one was taking and he knew it, just more mockery] and for you that have chose this night to check the place out you've chosen the wrong night."

Scotland tells us that these chicken sounds are a manifestation of the Holy Spirit. Such is ridiculous to blame such foolishness on the Holy Spirit. He then interprets it as a "wake-up call". We agree! It is a wake-up call these Pentecostals to come to their senses! Scotland was at Toronto Airport Christian Fellowship in August 1997 when he did this.

"Ok before we take off, clapping, lets get the reading done. Luke, LUKE. (Laughing) Chapter TWOOOOOOO. I tell you what... Lets look at chapter 1. Settle down please, Ladies and Gentlemen! manifestation of spiritual drunkenness

"the gift of offending people"

[7:02 minutes]

John Scotland explains the manifestation of spiritual drunkenness. He calls it "the gift of offending people" and refers to it as an "anointing" With absolute certainty, the Holy Spirit would never cause a man to act as if literally drunk. Drunkenness is condemned in the Bible! Such behavior makes us wonder if he is demon possessed, because the source surely is not divine! Offending people is not a gift from God, For the Holy Spirit condemns offending people: 1 Cor 10:32; 2 Cor 6:3. Scotland was at Toronto Airport Christian Fellowship in August 1997 when he did this.

"you know I . WOWHOO. I've been going through different stages of drunkenness. and the stage I'm at, at the moment is Slouching. I've gone through the hick up stage. I've gone through the phase of heckling the preachers. um. I am a sign and a wonder. When a prophet told me there was an anointing for me coming pre-1994, I thought great. But when that anointing came, it came in a package I didn't expect. It came in a package of offence. I've come to the conclusion that my gift is offending people. what can you do? You know I mean. I think Christians are to sensitive anyway you know, always winging. but it is a gift. I don't need to even say anything. um. I SHOT THE SHERIFF. AND I SHOT THE DEPUTY TOO! WOW, the sheriff is legalism. and the deputy is religion.(cheering) Um. that's good isn't it? that's copyrighted now. you can't copy it. heheh. I didn't ask for this. no I didn't. The problem was when I came through the doors November 1994. And the Lord said to me, "What do you want John"? I said I want to get drunk. I just forgot to tell him how long. Now I don't mind being drunk. Its great. But I said to the Lord. I don't like looking drunk, you know your eyes get blood shot. and he said to me. John, You see some of think God doesn't talk like that but he's very, he is a fun God. Lets get the fun back into church. And he said John, you see the rock stars on breakfast TV, they always wear sunglasses. so he said get yourself a pair of sunglasses. I call these glasses glory shades. I'm sure Moses would have worn them if they had them in the old testament. Whoahhh, Now hang in please, hang in. fasten your seat belt. we may have a bit of turbulence tonight. and you might want to run, but hang on in. lets go back to the reading."

Manifestation: Charge!

[1:33 minutes]

Here is new one! Scotland is led by the Holy Spirit to sound like a bugle playing "charge". While he blames such repulsive behavior on the Holy Spirit, it is nothing more than cheap theatrics. Scotland was at Toronto Airport Christian Fellowship in August 1997 when he did this.

"They had no children for a ...dutututututudododototo (audience responds with charge) verse 14 now settle down ladies and gentleman settle down. And your wife Elizabeth will bear you a son and you are to name him John and will both have great dutututututudododototo (audience responds with charge, this is reapeated many times. Reveling, drinking parties condoned

Reveling, drinking parties condoned. This incredible clip speaks for itself. Notice that jab against non-Pentecostal churches being equated with Joy Killers! For Scotland to claim that God upheld a wicked drinking party as a model for "how to party" is blasphemous! Even the slightest spiritual discernment can see the evil in John Scotland. But remember, 3000 people were in attendance and millions of Pentecostals all over the world view the Toronto Blessing as a movement from God. This should remove all doubt! Scotland was at Toronto Airport Christian Fellowship in August 1997 when he did this.

"Isn't it great to shout in church? It is isn't it? Its great its you know. All these years you've been told when you walk into church. SHHH. SHHH you might wake god up. Ladies and gentle men. The Angels are serving wine. There serving wine as I speak. There bringing, bringing. BIG barrels. The party has just BEGAAAAN. A couple of years ago. 2 years ago, A couple was living together. and there daughter died of cancer at 23. I think she was. 6 months before she died. he walked up and asked me, can I use the church hall to throw a party for my daughter. what was I to do? I said Yes. They were an ungodly family. and the along with the party they wanted drink. and the lord said go along, let them drink. and they invited me to the party and gee. and it was about 1 am and the party had just beguuuuun. and the disco was playing. and they had this machine that puffed out smoke and flashing lights and I sat there in the party and the place was heaving. and you know what the lord said to me? he said, John this is how you party. This is how you party. I've been to church for 20 odd years. Looking at your watch wondering when the preacher was going to finish. Church were only just learning how to party. you know we were never invited to parties. because we were joy killers. yeah. yeah. JOY KILLERS! Now we get invited all the time. Vision of the dead churches: Scotland claims this vision came from God. What spiritual value is there in a bishops daughter crawling as a drunken harlot down the street? This vision is certainly not from God! see Col 2:18 "taking his stand on visions he has seen, inflated without cause by his fleshly mind". Scotland was at Toronto Airport Christian Fellowship in August 1997 when he did this.

Mary Audrey with "Left Leg Anointing"

John Arnott says, "You would think you walked into a mad house or something. Well we have had one year to acclimatize. If we had started with this at this level we would not have had the faith to go on. I know as a pastor, I would have shut it down. ... I was a risk taker, but this is over the edge folks. Fill them up Lord..." John Arnott stands beside his ministry director, Mary Audrey, who has the "Left Leg Anointing". When she kicks up her left leg (like the "Can Can" dance), and says, "More Jesus", people are slain in the Spirit in the direction of her kick. You can hear her take the Lord's name in vain, "Oh my God, Oh my God, Oh my God", which she later changes to "Oh my goodness". You can see people laying on the floor twitching like epileptics while a woman on stage rocks back and forth on her back. You can hear animal sound as the audience breaks into chaos. At the end Arnott calls for several of his key leaders to come forward and let May Audrey lay her hands on them to spread the "left leg anointing". After this a woman dressed in white does the "dead chicken" on her feet.

Two Female prophets wagging their brains out

John Arnott stands beside these two key woman who are proclaimed to be prophets. This clip give both of their prophecies. Both women wag their heads left and right as if to say no in an extremely violent manner that would give many a headache. Again nothing miraculous taking place, just people standing on a stage wagging their head and grunting which anyone can do. However the important point is that the first woman, Stacy, who just had a baby 12 days prior, utters a false prophecy that contradicts the Bible. John Arnott states that Stacy prophesied the coming of the "Toronto blessing" in October 1993. If you watch Stacy, she does quite a performance. She begins by saying, "I just feel that the Lord wanted to say..." Did you notice the "I just feel"? Stacy is a self deluded loony that confuses her feelings with the voice of God. We don't question Stacy said what she feels the Lord wanted to say, but she God never directed her! You can hear her grunt, groan and gasp for air as she grows tired of the high energy performance and is likely getting a headache. In the middle of the "thus sayeth the Lord" she then addresses God from herself saying, "So I just feel like the Lord wants me to cry out Lord equip your church." Then she asks for her personal choice, "Lord give me mercy". She says speaking for God, Stacy prophesied: "He wishes that all His people were prophets". But this contradicts: 1 Corinthians 12:29 "All are not apostles, are they? All are not prophets, are they? All are not teachers, are they? All are not workers of miracles, are they? All do not have gifts of healings, do they? All do not speak with tongues, do they? All do not interpret, do they? But earnestly desire the greater gifts." When given a choice between Stacy and the Bible we chose the Bible! If Stacy prophesied the "Toronto blessing" and she openly contradicts the Bible, what more need we say?

The second woman puts on a similar performance. She furiously wags her head, grunts and groans throughout saying, "The Lord would say, 'He is calling Gideon's army..." (A new recent buzzword among Pentecostals).

Several typically bizarre examples of slain in the spirit

In a Toronto Airport Christian Fellowship meeting, John Arnott says, "How many have never been to a church like this in their lives raise your hands." First a woman comes up and John Arnott orders God to "Fill her, fill her, fill her". She falls to the floor and bangs her head so hard that Arnott says, "Ohhhh" with vicarious pain. The woman lays on stage for about 45 minutes during which time she rocks on her back like a rocking horse. Interesting to note that although she is supposed to be slain in the Spirit, she pulls down her shirt several times for fear her belly is showing. Arnott moves on to the next contestant, Nancy Hubbard who was laughing so hard for 5 minutes, she couldn't explain that she started laughing in a local restaurant which triggered a contagious laughing reaction throughout the whole restaurant. Arnott believes this is a supernatural event. However anyone can trigger the same thing by laughing loud and historically for an extended period. Give it a try sometime! But then the stage becomes a bombing zone with three bodies hitting the turf like matchsticks. These three lay motionless for about a minute while the first woman does her yearly quota of sit- ups. The final view pans out to the audience where several lay twitching on the floor.

Have Another Drink - Never a Sober Moment: "If anyone had any concern that the Have Another Drink conference this week would get off to a slow start, those fears were quickly squelched. Not five minutes into the week-long festivities, you could see the main speakers stumbling toward the front of the auditorium in a drunken stupor! Darrel Stott, John Scotland, Peter Jackson and Georgian Banov spent most of the morning session in a pile at the foot of the front row. About 1,500 worshippers flooded into the main sanctuary for the 10:30 a.m. meeting. As TACF celebrated its 43rd month of renewal, the festivities got off to a resounding start. Worship leader Jeremy Sinnott kicked off the morning with several of the renewal favorites as well as some new 'drinking songs' like Intoxicated by Chris Roe - a fitting theme for the conference. It was clear that worship, as usual, was going to be a highlight of the conference. Ian Ross led the meeting in his typical fashion as he plodded along in a daze, trying to put together his thoughts enough to get his welcoming message across. "John asked that we give thought to uh.....something....." was about all the thought he could muster. "I'm so drunk, Janice (his wife) and I got the wrong teeth in this morning!" Trying to collect his thoughts wasn't working too well as Banov, Scotland and Stott were praying for him from their more-or-less prostrate position on the floor in front of him. It was clear from the first session that this was not going to be an average conference at TACF. Before Darrel Stott came up to speak, John Scotland, from Liverpool, England, was introduced. When asked what his thoughts were on what he expected of the week, he immediately grabbed the microphone and yelled "OOOOOOHHHH" a few times before wobbling off to the side for prayer. We're still checking, but we think he may have actually said something in the five minutes he spent on the stage, but we're not too sure yet! Darrel Stott, from Seattle, Washington, was an Assemblies of God pastor who innocently took a trip, paid for by his father, to Toronto in early '95 and has never been the same. The intriguing part about Darrel was that although he was in a drunken daze, babbling aimlessly and sounding a lot like George of the Jungle in his sleep, between all of this, he would preach like a Southern Baptist Minister. He would come out with fiery charges to the audience, reminding them of the calling and the power that God is ready to anoint them with, but then returning to his dizzy state of babbling while holding on to the glass podium for dear life. A truly fascinating sight to watch, but the display also reminded us that although what God is doing on the outside may look funny, what He is doing on the inside is quite powerful. He also made a serious comment to the general audience: "If you're pretending to be drunk, knock it off," a good point to make to start the conference off right and a reminder to those who may have come to take advantage of a rather - shall we say - 'loose' week." Kilpatrick tells us that his "anointing of the Holy Spirit" is so debilitating, that he must begin getting ready for the evening church service at 4:30 PM because it has taken him 30 minutes to put is own sox on! And this is a blessing of the Holy Spirit? Any doctor would say Kilpatrick has serious problem needing medical attention to address such a disability!

This must see video that has it all! None of what you will see in this video ever happened in the first century church. Spontaneous movements, memory lapses, extended paralysis and people falling to the floor are opposite to what the Bible says the Holy Spirit does when He anoints someone. The Holy Spirit healed men with spontaneous movements (Matthew 17:15: epilepsy) and men with extended paralysis (Mark 2:1-12: paralytic). Such were identified as demon activity! The Holy Spirit brings wisdom and knowledge (1 Cor 12:8) not memory lapses and amnesia! Remember, all charismatic churches practice some of this stuff some of the time, it is only a matter of varying degrees depending on the tolerance level of the members each individual church.

  1. Woman is slain in the spirit and is covered with a pink blanket thanks to the "full service ushers" and lays on the floor for several minutes.
  2. Woman in black dress gives a verbal description of being "slain in the spirit". She was paralyzed to the point that she and her two young children had to be driven home by a strange man whose identity she still didn't know. Once home she lay paralyzed in her bed, where the man placed her, till 3 AM. John Kilpatrick claims it is the "glory of God" and confesses he also has been paralyzed on the floor for 2.5 hours at a time. She explains how her three year also wanted to "go in the spirit" and asked if mommy was going to go "into the spirit" again. The woman relies, she sure hopes she is paralyzed again just like before. Great mother! who is going to care for the kids when the mother is laying paralyzed on the floor? And this is from God? Hardly!
  3. Next a man in a white shirt starts jerking, twitching and dancing (spontaneous movements) like a fool all over the stage and then blames it on the Holy Spirit.
  4. Spiritual Amnesia: Sandy Fields is a pastors wife from Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The Holy Spirit prevents her from remembering the town she lives in. She finally asks her husband in the audience, "Honey where are we from?" She then leaps backwards and lays on the floor where the ushers cover her with a blanket so people can't look up her skirt as she does the "dead chicken" in spontaneous movements. John Kilpatrick states he felt the Holy Spirit's power "hit the woman". Her husband (a pastor) comes on stage and also cannot remember details. Then he states that he and his wife have been unable to remember things for a week. When his wife stands beside him, they both are "slain in the Spirit" and fall to the ground. Again blankets are brought out to cover her. A short time later Sandy gets up and after a short excited talk begins to twitch, dance and move uncontrollably. All this is supposed to be of God.
  5. Steve Hill (red jacket) then asks for one person from each state to come forward to be "anointed" and slain in the spirit. When the crowds are gathered he works the could dropping people to the ground like flies in a spectacular example of group hypnotic induction. Hill yells, "anoint" "now" "whoa". After about 10 minutes of slaying the crowd, Hill demands that the ushers "lift them all up and get them out of here". The stage show was not going to be hindered by the power of the Holy Spirit! If this was really from God, Hill certainly "quenched the spirit"! The show must go on!
  6. Now that the stage is cleared of all those who previously cluttered up the stage, Hill now calls for a "fresh anointing on Pennsylvania". He proceeds to conclude the meeting slaying even more folks. (Makes you wonder why he cleared them all off the stage if he just slays the same ones again in the very place he demanded they be removed.) Like Copeland, Hagin and other fakes, you can hear Hill hissing like a serpent and grunting loudly as he works his crowd. All the while in the background you can hear people yelling, screaming and making animal sounds.

More importantly, she reveals that the spirit claims she will be purified by the pain apart as in the occult rather than from the blood of Christ. Testimony of Alison Ward: Aug 18, 1995

Alison Ward (sister of Amy Ward above) shakes and trembles uncontrollably at Brownsville Assembly of God service Aug 18, 1995 as John Kilpatrick claims it is the result of the power of the Holy Spirit. At the end she is "slain in the Spirit". However, such uncontrollable shaking is not found anywhere in the Bible and is debilitating to the point that any outsider would conclude she has serious nerve damage or Parkinson's disease etc. The 19 year old was raised in the local Brownsville assembly, giving her many years of lessons in how to act. Alison doesn't know she is acting from purely human instincts and that God is not part causing this. Such self-deception is heart breaking. But the Devil is pleased. We note that Kilpatrick makes a point of doing some damage control with Amy Wards testimony (see above) that she experienced quite a bit of pain while slain.

Teaches Jesus was born again
Kenneth Hagin gives us his view of Christology which he taught Kenneth Copeland. Hagin believes that Jesus was born again. Yet in fact, Jesus was never born again even once, because he never sinned and did not need redemption like us. Copeland confuses two completely different concepts of "born again" and "Christ being begotten".

Hypnotism: You're too busy praying!

As Rodney Howard-Browne slays several pastors with Drunkenness & Holy Laughter at a Kenneth Copeland meeting, he has difficulty slaying one individual who is praying. He tells the pastor, "Some of you are too busy praying, don't pray, you can pray on the way home." This proves that it is hypnotism and not something from the Holy Spirit. If is was from the Holy Spirit, praying would be no problem to be slain. But in hypnotism, the pastor must concentrate on Browne (the hypnotist). Any hypnotist would 100% agree. So if the subject concentrates on the Holy Spirit in prayer rather than the hypnotist (Brown) they can't be slain. Think about how powerful a proof this is that such modern manifestations are purely human origin.

False interpretation of 1 Corinthians 2:14 within prophecy!

Kenneth Copeland is speaking in tongues. Rodney Howard-Browne is interpreting the tongues as he hears them. (Copeland says a little then waits for Browne to interpret) Amazingly Browne begins to quote 1 Corinthians 1:14 but completely applies this simple verse in a false way. Browne says, "Don't try to work it out with your natural mind, for the things of the spirit of God are foolishness to the natural mind." First is the mistake that the Bible says the "natural man" not "natural mind". But Browne is applying this to the audience! He is telling them not to use their "natural mind" but to use their "spiritual mind". This implies that Christian possess both a natural and spiritual mind at the same time. The 30,000 people in the auditorium are mostly Pentecostal weekly church goers. They already have spiritual minds. For Browne to tell the "regenerate audience" not to use their natural minds completely misapplies what this verse is saying. With the dismal Bible knowledge of many Pentecostals, such satanic handling of scripture goes unnoticed. The fact that Browne is supposedly interpreting the tongues of Copeland proves that both are fakes and frauds! Deception is always exposed for those honest enough to look!

1 Cor 1:12-14 "Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things freely given to us by God, which things we also speak, not in words taught by human wisdom, but in those taught by the Spirit, combining spiritual thoughts with spiritual words. But a natural man does not accept the things of the Spirit of God; for they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually appraised.

Audience slain with drunkenness and laughter

Rodney Howard-Browne tells the Holy Spirit to "get all those religious faces in the audience" and "fill them up Jesus". (Those with the dignity and reverence to mourn rather than laugh at what they saw.) Several in the audience laugh, one that sounds like a pig squeal. Then Browne turns his attention to two band members and tells the Holy Spirit to "get them both". They start to laugh then dance the jig.

Rodney Howard-Browne is himself slain with "spiritual muteness" during Bible reading

Browne turns a common mispronunciation of a word in a Bible reading (Ezekiel 8:1ff) into 3 minute demonstration of self inflicted muteness. Watch how he milks the laughs just as long as the audience finds it funny. When they get bored of it and the humour is gone, he snaps out of it. The he admits that he could resist the muteness if he chose, proving it is not from the Holy Spirit but himself. Of course we want to know what value is there in the Holy Spirit silencing and mocking the word of God being read? Why would the Holy Spirit hinder the reading of God's word? Imagine if Paul conducted himself this way in his ministry!

Pastor of 27 years slain with amnesia

Here is a pastor of 27 years who is unable to remember anything yesterday. Browne makes a big point of the pastor not faking it. Of course those under the influence of hypnotism are never faking it, but it is not something from God. In the end the man is "slain in the Spirit" and falls to the ground paralyzed. (something that never happened in the Bible)

3 Pastors slain with muteness

Three pastors of large churches are unable to speak or give their testimony of their last encounter with Rodney Howard-Brown. Each of the three stood their like fools for 10 minutes each, but we just took a few minutes to give you the idea. The first Pastor is Jerald Coats who is a top leader with "March for Jesus". He just makes faces like he has indigestion. The second pastor begins to twitch around and wobble on his feet. The third pastor is introduced by Browne as having been skeptical of the Rodney Howard-Browne ministry. The only thing the Holy Spirit permits him to say is, "I was skeptical". Over a 10 minute period he can say nothing but, "I was skeptical" about 10 times. Each time the crowd bursts out in laughter. This third guy makes for very convincing footage. However we remind you that he is the pastor of a Pentecostal church which believes all the stuff Browne is doing is from God. We might ask what he is really skeptical about? It is not like he was skeptical about any manifestations of the Holy Spirit and 20th century tongues, rather he was merely skeptical if the excesses that was reported with Rodney Howard-Browne are true. Rather than reject the whole of the Charismatic movement as bordering on occult, he decides it is of God!

Mockery of reading the Bible

Rodney Howard-Browne reads the Bible and begins to stutter and slow down. This is the signal to the audience that he is being slain in the Spirit and is considered proof he is a messenger of God. However, the audience begins laughing and over a period of 10 minutes reaches a repulsive crescendo. The audience are supposed to be affected by the Holy Spirit with holy laughter. (As if the Holy Spirit would do such!) This kind of disdain for the word of God is common among Pentecostals and we have several documented example of such. All emphasis is on feelings while doctrine and Bible study are looked frowned upon. The Devil is pleased when people follow their feelings over the Bible!

Copeland and Browne joke together in tongues

Kenneth Copeland and Rodney Howard-Browne joke together in tongues for several minutes. Nothing miraculous here! In fact they violate the Bible (1 Cor 14:28) by speaking in tongues in the assembly without an interpreter. Further we ask, what edification has taken place?

1 Corinthians 14:26-28 When you assemble, each one has a psalm, has a teaching, has a revelation, has a tongue, has an interpretation. Let all things be done for edification. If anyone speaks in a tongue, it should be by two or at the most three, and each in turn, and let one interpret; 28 but if there is no interpreter, let him keep silent in the church

Adam equal to Christ

"God's reason for creating Adam was His desire to reproduce Himself. I mean a reproduction of Himself, and in the Garden of Eden He did just that. He was not a little like God. He was not almost like God. He was not subordinate to God even. . . . Adam is as much like God as you could get, just the same as Jesus. . . . Adam, in the Garden of Eden, was God manifested in the flesh." Kenneth Copeland, Following the Faith of Abraham I, side 1

Kenneth Copeland gives us his view of Christology which he learned from Kenneth Hagin. Copeland claims that the Holy Spirit revealed this to him. He says that the Holy Spirit told him that Jesus was born again twice. Jesus was never born again even once, because he never sinned and did not need redemption like us. Copeland confuses two completely different concepts of "born again" and "Christ the firstborn from the dead". But it gets worse. Copeland claims the Holy Spirit also told him that any man could have defeated the devil and be our saviour.
