Sabbath keepers use the false argument that since the Sabbath day is mentioned in Isa 66:23, that the Sabbath will be in heaven! If Isa 66:23 teaches that we will keep the Jewish Sabbath in heaven, then it also teaches we will keep the Jewish New Moon festival in heaven! Both were nailed to the cross: Col 2:14-16.

The Sabbath is an Old Testament shadow or anti-type of heaven and was never intended endure past the cross. God gave the Jews many physical anti-types that were replaced with new meaning in the New Testament. Incense, priestly garments and the Sabbath, for example were abolished and replaced with prayer, (Rev 5:8) good deeds (Rev 19:8) and heaven (Hebrews 4:4-11).
Sabbatarians almost always misquote Hebrews 4 as a text that commands us to keep the weekly Sabbath. But the Hebrews 4:4-11 actually speaks about 3 different kinds of Sabbaths, and the one for Christians, is not the weekly Jewish Sabbath, but the eternal Sabbath rest of HEAVEN!
Jesus said in Mark 2:27 "The Sabbath was made for man, and not man for the Sabbath". Jesus taught that the Sabbath should be broken, if it conflicted with a higher law of God like human compassion! At times, Jesus broke the Sabbath without sin. That is because according to Mk 2:27, the Sabbath was made to serve man, not man to serve the Sabbath. Adventists are oblivious to the true meaning of this verse and ascribe the exact opposite meaning to what Jesus intended.
The first time any Jewish holy day is mentioned in scripture, it always lacks the definite article (a Sabbath). This powerful argument proves that the weekly Sabbath did not exist before Ex 16:23. What makes it irrefutable, is the fact that every Jewish Holy Day follows this same pattern!
Adventist's use this false 3 part argument to prove the Adam kept the Sabbath: 1. In the beginning God made "all things" Jn 1:1-3; Col 1:16. 2. The Sabbath day was MADE: Mk 2:27-28. 3. Therefore the Sabbath day was created or made in the beginning and therefore Adam had to keep it! Of course it is completely invalid!

Most Sabbatarians regularly break the very Sabbath they claim to keep! Keeping the Sabbath involves MUCH more than merely resting. Modern Sabbath Keepers would be condemned by any ancient Jewish priest that knew his Bible!
Sabbatarians teach that the Sabbath is the Lord's day, while Christians teach it is the first day, the day Jesus rose from the dead. The uninspired witness of early Christians is unanimous in calling the first day, not the Sabbath, the Lord's Day.
Sabbatarians falsely teach that Christian would be keeping the Sabbath in 70 AD when Jerusalem was destroyed. Jesus said "But pray that your flight may not be on a Sabbath". Matt 24:20. Jesus told them to pray, not so that Christians wouldn't break the Sabbath, but because, living in Jerusalem, the Jews who controlled the city, always closed the gates and the Christians could not escape!
The seventh-day Adventist "prophet" Ellen G. White actually taught that the Sabbath is the most important of the 10 commandments above all others! She said the Sabbath law "glowed" brighter than all the rest! This is an example of how false doctrine gives birth to some wild ideas!
Some over-zealous, but under-learned Sabbath keepers, will state the actual Greek words used in Acts 20:7 & 1 Cor 16:1 actually refer to the weekly Sabbath, not the first day of the week. They say "first day of the week" as all Bibles read, is a mistranslation. The only ones who say this are those who have no knowledge of Greek.
Adventists incorrectly argue that only by Sabbath keeping can we know that it is God who sanctifies us. Yet the same language is ascribed to both animal sacrifices and the Jewish tabernacle. Faith in Christ, and not Sabbath keeping, is how we know we are saved!
Sabbatarians correctly observe that the Sabbath day was referred to, as a time system, after the cross but incorrectly conclude this proves Christians were keeping the Sabbath. The fallacy of this is illustrated by the fact that many Sabbatarians, who do not participate in Halloween, will themselves will refer to it as a time system. They might say, "Our church is having a party for the kids, Halloween night." In the same way, Christians, living in the first century, used the common time systems available to them and referred to the "Day of Pentecost" (Acts 2:1), the days of unleavened bread, (Acts 12:3; 20:6) and the Sabbath. Sabbatarians don't keep all these Jewish feasts and Hanukkah (John 10:22) just because they are mentioned in the New Testament!
